About
Emergency Dentistry
Dental emergencies can happen suddenly — whether it’s pain, swelling, or an unexpected injury. We provide same-day assessment and treatment whenever possible for patients who contact us before 10:00am. Our priority is to relieve discomfort, protect teeth, and help you feel supported and reassured throughout your visit.
When to Seek Emergency Care
You may need urgent attention if you experience:
- Severe or persistent toothache
- Swelling or signs of infection
- A knocked-out or displaced tooth
- Chipped, cracked, or fractured teeth
- Trauma to the mouth or jaw
- Broken fillings, crowns, or bridges
- Sharp edges causing irritation
If you are unsure, please call — we will guide you.
Assessment for Dental Injury
For trauma or impact injuries, 3D imaging may be used to assess:
- Jaw or root fractures
- Tooth displacement
- Bite changes after injury
This supports accurate diagnosis and appropriate planning. If needed, we can stabilise teeth or restore alignment using splints or protective measures.
What to Expect at Your Emergency Appointment
Your visit may include:
- A focused examination
- X-rays or 3D imaging if needed
- Relief of pain or pressure
- Repair of broken or chipped teeth
- Temporary or definitive restoration
- Repositioning and stabilisation of displaced teeth
- Reimplantation of knocked-out teeth (when suitable)
If a tooth cannot be predictably saved, we may discuss extraction with ridge preservation to support future options such as implants.
Our Approach
We aim to:
- Respond promptly and calmly
- Reduce pain and protect oral health
- Preserve natural tooth structure where possible
- Explain options clearly
- Support long-term stability
Your comfort and clarity come first.
